Atheists do it quietly and stay up longer

Atheists are hated in every religion. Christians despise them, Muslims kill them (!!!) and even the otherwise peaceful Hindus (who btw have a rich history of agnosticism) have at least an obscenity or two to hurl. I have never been a theist, so I cannot comprehend this anger, but it almost always sounds like someone saying "You are too stupid to think for yourself, so stop thinking and memorize this book". Religion usually has many a moral lecture to offer, but atheism - devoid as it is of sermonizing - has a valuable lesson to teach as well. For an atheist, logic must prevail over popular opinion. He prefers to say it like it is, so let me say something from his perspective...

* Delhi 6 is not a different kind of movie, it is a crapshit movie with a dollop of horse poo and will somebody please donate Abhishek Bachchan another facial expression.
* Rahul Gandhi is not young, he is almost 40 and receding...teenagers usually consider that bloody old fart category.
* The IPL "strategy break" is about the most transparent money making racket ever conceived, and it is generally laughable when Arbaaz Khan and Preity Zinta are asked their opinion about this.
* I have never seen so much print and media footage wasted on whether Kasab should get a lawyer. Yes he absolutely should, end of story. If you don't like how the justice system here works you should consider immigration to the beautiful valley of Swat in Pakistan.
* Raj Thackeray is an asshole, but so is my boss and I can bear him. People who follow him into "political activities" however, are morons. Those I cannot stand.
* Frieda Pinto is in the most beautiful women list? Seriously? Does it stretch upto 50,000 now?
* And most importantly let me say this (without the slightest hint of sarcasm) every one month or so I felt a pang of sympathy for George W. Bush. There is no doubt that he was an incompetent, bumbling idiot who suddenly found himself doing the most important job in his country. There have however been even more incompetent people in equally important jobs that get away by doing very little and therefore doing very little damage. Dubya on the other hand, was forced to take stage by terrorists, willed into action by strategists, misled by intelligence officers and forsaken by the retards who elected him.

I'd love to say more but I think I've proved my point. That and it's 1.50 am and I really need to take a crap.

Yay! Welcome back! I always loved your blog posts, and no matter what topic they deal with, they are HUGELY entertaining! Three years and you haven't lost that touch! I agree with all your points in the post (maybe not completely on the Dubya issue; I don't think he was an 'innocent' moron who 'found himself' taking charge of the county's most important post; he willingly, in complete awareness of all his incompetence, sought the coveted post.) But I believe theists are equally capable of thinking out of the box and forming their own opinions as well. If only they applied that same logic to their religious indoctrination!
Keep yapping! Keep crapping! :D

Way to go!

Could't agree more on most of the points, although I beg to differ on your opinion about Freida Pinto: 50,000??? That's it? Aren't you being a bit too generous? :D

Keep up the good work...

But then again, that would be expecting too much from you. Aikaycha T-shirts, anyone??;... :D
